ONE STEP AT A TIME

Does the prospect of changing and growing seem monumental to you? Just too much to tackle?

A journey is made of many small steps. Don’t focus on a far-off destination if you’re not clear how to get there. Build a foundation that is solid for you. We get to new places one step at a time.

"You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step."

-- Martin Luther King, Jr.

"One may walk over the highest mountain one step at a time."

-- John Wanamaker

I think what makes it so hard is that you want to be there right now. It frustrates me when I can't be where and what I want to be right now. I want to be rid of the things I dislike in myself right now. I guess God works patience into us thru our imperfections in the process of perfecting us. How about you?

No kidding!!! Where do I start?
If I wrote the things I dislike about myself; my lack of patience would be number 1, no my temper, no my lack of retaining information, no my intolerance, no my lack of confidence, no my laziness, no my lack of faith at times, no my ...................

Merbear,
When I saw this post it brought back memories when I was a little girl. We used to listen to Psalty and the Kids Praise. They sang this song called "One Step At A Time". I don't remember all the lyrics but it kinda goes like this:

When something seems to hard to handle, too big to conquer, too far away to touch...
That's when its time to say, I'm climbing my mountaing step by step, I'm climbing my mountain all the way, I'm climbing my mountain I'm gonna make it. One step at a time, one step at a time, I'm climbing my mountain one step at a time...

Even at 5 years old, this song helped me and I still remember it to this day.

I love you lots!

You are just too darling!!
Thank you! My kids also listened to Psalty tapes (yes cassettes, hey they are becoming dinasaurs too. LOL) We then went to CD's and now MP3.... I think we owned everysingle one from Psalty 1 to 10 or something like that
I can remember them singing all the songs while at home, or even driving in the car.
To know little Jael was also doing the same thing tickles my heart.
Those a cool lyrics have a message for whatever level you are on spiritually. Can speak to a child or an adult.
Thank you for your comment, I love seeing your name appear...
